Virtual Prototyping offers greater design flexibility. CAD drawings are easily converted to virtual simulations and when displayed on 3D viewing equipment offer an interactive z-axis providing better visualization to make design changes. Virtual prototypes cost less to produce, design changes are easier to make and testing can be simulated in an interactive environment. Virtual concepts are developed at the start of a product development cycle and are continuously refined and streamlined from concept to launch eliminating "redos" and additional design work by converting final VR concepts to CAD files.
